It’s happened again, this time in Dalian, China. The Boston Globe  reports that experts estimate around 1.5M litres of oil has poured into the Yellow Sea. Recently, an estimated 243–477M litres of oil spilled into the Gulf of Mexico.

The Dalian slick has grown to around 430 square kilometres. Ports and beaches have been forced to close. The affect on local wildlife is yet to be realised.
